GOLDEN RETRIEVER

LIFE IS GOLDEN!!!

We strive for big, blocky heads and beautiful coats on our goldens.  With over 17 years of experience raising goldens, we know how to raise a great one!  Our puppies have personality plus.  My puppies normally will mature between 55-80 pounds - females tend to be 65 average and males average 75 pounds.  Puppies usually weigh between 10-16 pounds at 8 weeks.

The multi-tasking Rosie at her best!

Happy Thanksgiving Kim and Family!  Hope you have a wonderful day.  Rosie looks so much like her mom, she is so
lean and her face and head look like mom. Rosie was 4 months old yesterday.  Her fur is growing too.  She is getting her "skirts" on her back leg area, that's what we called that little area.  And her tail fur is getting longer by the minute, it's amazing. She's got a long way to go. I love her very much.
Love, Claudia and Rosie  11/06

Great to see the updated pictures of Rosie on your website. Our almost 2 year old 5th grandchild loves Rosie. She is so brave with her. Goldens are just so special.  Thank you for all the WORK it takes to share them with others.
Claudia

Our son has trained our grandchildren to make Rosie say down when she comes to them all excited and absolutely crazy...and they are catching on fast.  Claudia

Hi Kim,  Great new Website.  Could hardly resist adopting another Golden.   But I controlled myself.  Here's a recent picture of Rosie.  She is 2 now and I still love her to pieces.  You can train a Golden to do most anything.  Here she is on the treadmill. And we taught her to shake her paw, she kept giving her left paw, but a few times wrong and she got it right.  Smart girl. Claudia

Hi Kim, finally getting around to sending you pictures of Rylie. He is the most adorable puppy.  He is totally
housebroken.  He loves everyone. He is very smart and a
fast learner.  We are lucky to have him.  Hope all is
well with your new litter.  Thank you again.  Hope you like the pictures.  Barbara, 9/06

I decided to get in gear and write you about Max. I am sending you
pictures of him after we brought him home and pictures taken
within the last couple months. He is the best puppy! He is very spoiled and likes to be loved up. He tries to be friends with my mom's cat, Yoda, but Yoda isn't so sure.  He knows how to sit and lay down by giving him hand commands and we are working on high-five. Thanks!  Laura, NE 11/06

Hello Kim, I thought you would like a few more pictures of the girls.  They are growing leaps and bounds and are a pure joy to have. They both have such different personalities. There is one picture with our  grandson Zachary if you want to use it.  He just adores both of the girls.  They romp and play until they drop.  It's really been hot here and the girls love our air conditioning.  They go out in the yard and play a little and then back in the cool house. They really have it made. Tim and I make them very comfortable.  Katie likes her pool and Abbie just puts her front feet in for now. I am sure she will leap in one day soon. So for now take care and enjoy the pix...bye for now...Barbara and Tim 8/06

I just wanted to let you know that he got here fine. He is a very handsome boy!  He would not stop crying on the way
to see my husband, so I took him out of the crate and he fell asleep on my arm.  My daughter is having a wonderful time
with him. Thank you again. He is beautiful. Elizabeth - 6/06

We just got back from the vet and the doctor said "I can't find a thing wrong with your dog. He is a beautiful dog. You
got a good one!" Thanks again, Elizabeth & Richard, 6/06

Hi Kim, I wanted to let you know our puppy arrived at the cargo area at Pittsburgh International around 7:30p.m. last night. She is so beautiful, and healthy looking. She is very social with all
 of us, especially my 14
year old son and 7 year old daughter.  I did mention we have a lighter golden named Zoe, and was with the
puppy last night. She didn't cry at all, because she was with our other dog. They got along just fine. We are so happy and pleased with Daisy, she's a real sweetheart.  I  will send pictures to add to your website. I will keep you updated on her. How can I leave
feedback on your website also? Thank you, I can see you take excellent care of your puppies! Have a great weekend! God bless, Lisa 9/06

Hi, I bought a female pup from you in 1999.  Miss Maggie Frisco was born in Dec. of 1998 and was the pup of Lakelands Frisco
Mc'Gee and Miss Shelby Fey.  We have had her since my son was a year old and she has been the best dog ever.  Everyone
raves about how well behaved and obedient she is. We had a litter of Goldens a few years ago and the pups have all been
wonderful for their families too.  We have since left the farm and moved to the city and  she now enjoys her retirement as an
inside dog.  She is loving it!!  I just happened to run onto your website while browsing for info on our new addition to the
family, Lillly, a Maltipoo.  Maggie has taken her in as one of her own and is helping us train her.
Thanks so much for giving us the opportunity to bring Maggie into our family. Any family history or pictures would be fun to see.
Thanks again,
Rhonda, Papillion, NE

Hi Kim,
The puppy is home with us now.  Her name is going to be Reese's because her coloring reminds us of the peanut butter in the peanut butter cups.  She is absolutely precious and we are already so in love.  She is adjusting really well already.  She ate dinner and has been sniffing out the house.  Thank you so much for everything.  I will send you pictures soon!
Love,
Christine and Greg

Hi Kim,
We just wanted to give you an update on Reeses.  She is AMAZING!!!!  We love her so much.  She is so healthy and full of energy.  We have been complimented repeatedly on her temperment and how beautiful she is. Thank you so much for helping us find the perfect puppy.

I attached some pictures for you.  These pictures are only about 2 weeks old and she already looks so much bigger.  I can't believe how fast she is growing.  She is getting so big!!!!  25 lbs already.

Hi Kim
just wanted to let you know my puppy arrived in perfect condition and is he ever beautiful thanks so much for the great communication through the puppy process

Kim,

The both seem happy and love having each other to lay beside and to chew on. They are both doing well on the stairs. They love this snow! They love eating it and running in it and playing inside and out. We initally talked about breeding them due to them coming from opposite sides of the state, but I told Nate I don't think I could give away any of their puppies. I don't know how you do that, but I am glad you can, because we love her.

Kim,

Here are some pictures I took this afternoon.  As you can see, she is growing like a weed. She sits, stays, and comes on demand.  We are working on "down" this week.  She also has learned to "play ball".  I love to play ball with her and take her on walks.  I love to see her curiosity and to watch her chase butterflies.  She is going to be a beautiful companion - if she doesn't eat me first .

Kim,

Our little Lady is doing great!  We have changed her name.  She is now known as Dakota.  This started during the first day we had her.  As Bob sat watching her sleep, he said that she just looks like a Dakota.  Well, we stuck with Daisy until we got home, but Bob was stuck on the name Dakota - so we changed it on Friday.  I think it is probably a good decision because I'm afraid we would compare her to the first Daisy and now Dakota is her own person - or dog!!She had her vet check today and our vet was very impressed with her.  Said she is a beautiful Golden puppy.  He asked who picked her out of the litter and Bob said, "we put in our special order to our breeder and she picked the perfect puppy".  He liked that answer. Dakota is doing very well with her housebreaking.  Today, for the first time, she went over to the back door and whimpered to go out.  I took her out and she did a full job.  Now, I know that we may not see that again for awhile, but at least that was a first.  We are continually amazed at how smart she is.  The second day we were home, she figured out where the treats were and now when she comes in from being a "good girl" she goes over to the cupboard and sits and waits for her treat.  She also knows that she won't get a treat until she sits - she is doing a great job at that command.  In fact, she now sits for me to put on the leash and as soon as she gets back in the house she turns right around, and sits to have the leash removed.  Quite impressive for being just 8 weeks old!!

I'm am attaching a recent photo.

Will keep in touch. Daniel

Kim,  Just wanted to thank you again for picking out such a delightful pup.  We are absolutely enjoying her to the fullest. We got through the "biting" phase and have figured out that when she gets that excited and starts biting that she is just over-tired.  We started putting her in her crate for a "time out" when she would bite and most of the time she just curled up and went to sleep.  She still tries to "chew" on us, but that is part of being a puppy.  We keep "chew" items handy to give her at those times.

We started puppy class this week and, I know you won't be surprised to know that she was the youngest puppy there and the SMARTEST!!!  She proudly showed off her skills at the commands sit, stay, come, and kennel.  She also showed off her social skills and was very impressive.  I did get a kick out of the dogs she chose to interact with - only the biggest dogs in the room!

I am attaching the most recent photos. More later,  Dariel 10/2/08
