WHEATENS

The summer of 2008 was a very interesting one for us here at Lakeland Acres.  We were fortunate enough to come into contact with a Soft Coated Wheaten breeder who had raised them for over 20 years.  Dick was retiring and was looking for a good home for his beloved wheaties.  Well, he found one here at Lakeland Acres!  So, with great pride we introduce you to our babies.  Enjoy and if you have gotten one of our wheaties, please share your pictures and stories.  We love to hear from each and every one of you!!!  ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************Kim:
Gracie is doing fine.  Jeannine and Shannon are mostly in charge of the doggie duties.  Gracie has been a lot of fun and loves her toys.

Enclosed is Gracie in her Michigan cardigan.  I’ll have you know that I didn’t buy that but it does look good on her and she wears it outside sometimes especially as cold as it is now.  Mark 12/7/08

Kim:
Gracie has been great!  Jeannine and Shannon wanted me to send you some current photos.  She is getting her hair cut (mid-way until early summer) on Thursday.  She’s had a couple of small trims so far.  Gracie has blended into our family just great so far.  She “graduated” from her first puppy school two weeks ago. Jeannine has another school in mind for the next stage. She is mostly good, does a few tricks, listens most of the time but we have to get her to come when she is outside and not tied up. She will start squirrel chasing training any week now. :>)  Just thought I’d pass on the info and photos.
Best Regards. Mark 3/16/09

Kim:
Jeannine wanted me to send these new photos of Gracie to you.  This is after her first hair cut.  Next time she will have Maize & Blue (Michigan) bows in her ears.

Of course you can use any of the photos we sent for your Web site.  We want to send you a better picture of Shannon & Gracie someday soon.  Mark 3/22/09

We sure have a great natured dog who is always playful and fun. You wouldn’t believe how many complements we get every time we take her out in public.  It’s incredible.  The above photos is the hippie version of Gracie.  We get her cut every 6-8 weeks and adjust the cut length to the weather.   She is “much smaller” now and sure likes the shorter hair this time of year.  Mark 5/7/09

Kim: Just thought you would like a Gracie update. She is 9 months old now! Gracie has been a wonderful dog, mild mannered (most of the time), loves people, and just a lot of fun and provides hours of enjoyment. Shannon has “little sister” now who is a great soccer buddy and ruthless on defense. It is difficult to go anywhere without people coming up and asking what kind of dog we have and telling us how soft and pretty she is. We sometimes call her “Miss Hollywood”. Enclosed are a few photos of Shannon and Gracie at Shannon’s aunt’s house last weekend. We have the Invisible Fence at home and it works great in our big yard. She has lots of room to run and play and keeps all the squirrels and geese off the property.  Mark 7/21/09

Hi Kim!  I can't believe that we've had Chloe now for 4 months. She is doing great and is such a loving and energetic dog. She is a great addition to our family.  Here are a few pictures of Chloe take recently after getting groomed. She absolutely loves the outdoors and enjoys going on long walks. Thanks again for all your help with her. I can't tell you enough how much at ease your put us when we went through the process of purchasing her online. Thank you for answering all our questions and for providing such a great puppy. Hope all is well. We will send more pics in the near future. Nicole, Isaac, and Chloe 4/8/09
